The Artists

Born in 1958 to an Argentine mother and a Franco-British father, Guy de Malherbe lives and works between his two studios in Paris and the Vallée du Loir. In his youth, he was strongly influenced by the universe of Dalí, Buñuel, and García-Lorca, discovered in child-hood in Cadaqués, whose abrupt rocks plunging into the sea fascinated him. Later, the Costa Brava coastline, the cliffs of Étretat in Normandy, and the Perito Moreno glaciers in Argentina became favored subjects, onto which he projects his inner world through highly gestural painting with thick, sensual material. He is also interested in portraiture and regularly incorporates enigmatic figures into his canvases, while still lifes—such as plates of oysters, artichokes, or langoustines—form a continuous thread in his artistic research. 

His works are part of French national collections (CNAP, Manufacture Nationale des Gobelins, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and many museums (Le Mans, Evreux, Trouville… ) have devoted solo exhibitions to him. Regularly shown in the USA he is represented by Ditesheim-Mafféi in Switzerland and Galerie La Forest Divonne in France and Belgium. 

Galerie La Forest Divonne has two locations : one in Paris’ iconic Saint-Germain-des-Prés, since 1988, and an other one in Brussels since 2016, on the prestigious Avenue Louise. The gallery program spans from figures of the French scene such as Alexandre Hollan or Vincent Bioulès, to mid-career and emerging international artists in all practices, like the Elsa & Johanna duo, American painter Jeff Kowatch, or sculptor Jean-Bernard Métais. Trough both Paris and Brussels, La Forest Divonne organizes a dozen gallery exhibitions and participates in six to eight artfairs each year, including Art Paris, Armory Show, Art Brussels, Expo Chicago or BRAFA. The gallery collaborates with a number of museums and institutions accross Europe in which its artists are regularly shown or acquired. Marie Hélène de La Forest Divonne, founder of the gallery, is on the board the French National Association of Galleries and a member of the Belgian association of Galleries. In 2014, the President of Centre Pompidou decorated her with the prestigious National medal « des Arts et des Lettres » for her achievements in Contemporary Art.

Jörg Bräuer was born in Germany (1966) and holds German and Belgian nationality. Bräuer studied at the school of Photography and Printing in Munich and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (cum laude) from the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.), New York University. He has lived and worked in Munich, New York, London, Lisbon and Barcelona and currently splits his time between Brussels and his atelier in South West of France. Reflection on space and the alteration of matter over time forms the enduring foundation of Jörg Bräuer’s artistic research, which he expresses through different disciplines: photography, painting, text works, sculpture and installations. In his themes, which he chooses from among architecture and the essential elements of nature, he imbues his conceptual approach with a poetic vision of the little-known universes that surround us. With chromatic subtlety and graphic purity that border on abstraction, he lets us perceive the texture of time. His works have been exhibited at numerous fairs and exhibitions, including LEAF, Foundation Boghossian – Brussels (2025), Art on Paper – Brussels (2024), NOMAD St. Moritz (2024, 2023) and NOMAD Capri, Certosa di San Giacomo, Art Week Luxembourg (2020). Bräuer’s work is in numerous public and private collections including that of Foundation Thalie, Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, Château de Calon Ségur and Château de Montmoreau. He has been honoured with the Graphis Gold Award for 100 Best in Photography (2014).

The Frédérick Mouraux Gallery promotes contemporary international and socially engaged artists. The gallery’s philosophy is to be close to the artists of our time, based on the conviction that art can create greater awareness and contribute to positive change. Frédérick Mouraux, galerist and art historian and his wife Flavie Durand-Ruel, art historian and custodian of the archives of her ancestor the famous Impressionist art dealer Paul Durand-Ruel, choose artists with strong messages. The gallery maintains a diverse programme with solo exhibitions of several generations of artists working in different media such as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and installations. The themes addressed revolve around nature, ecology, human beings, fauna, flora and time. 

Born in 1988 in Lima, having grown up in the Peruvian capital and the small village of Santiago De Borja in the Amazon rainforest, Shirley Villavicencio Pizango moved to Ghent, Belgium when she was eighteen years old. In Ghent, she completed her art studies at KASK and HISK. Her work, characterized by vibrant portraits and still lifes, is influenced by her Peruvian roots and European experiences, with a profound exploration of themes such as identity and cultural heritage. By merging different cultures, her work reflects the multifaceted nature of her life journey, by painting portraits of family, friends and strangers. Her paintings are colorful, loose, expressionistic and folky and the characters are depicted with a concise sensitivity that conveys nostalgia, memory and melancholy. Villavicencio Pizango plays with art historical references, inspired by masters like Matisse and Picasso, while influences of Inca culture are evident in the rich vegetation, textiles, ceramics, and geometric forms in her work. Villavicencio Pizango participated in the Paradise Air Residency in Matsudo, Japan in 2017.

Gallery Sofie Van de Velde is a contemporary art gallery based in Antwerp. Born in 1985 Belgium, he lives and works in Brussels and Lisbon. His artistic oeuvre stands as an enigma, challenging established notions and inviting a departure from conventional ideas. His poetic and visceral creations defy reality, resulting in delicate sculptural skill and subtle monochromatic exploration. His research, rooted in intuition, seeks to dismantle the materiality of painting through a process that involves layering raw pigments, plaster, and epoxy resin on wood. The vertical installation of his objects evokes an architectural heritage ; they possess an inherent capacity to transcend functional constraints, inviting the viewer to explore concepts of entrance, access, and exit. This notion of portals, coupled with the imagined ability to peer beyond the picture, becomes the main element of engagement provoking contemplation on configuration, composition, color, and materials. Van Steendam holds a BA and MA in Visual Arts from Luca School of Arts, Ghent. Romero Paprocki was founded in 2020 by Guido Romero Pierini and Tristan Paprocki who first collaborate by choosing spaces for their museum-like scale in order to offer a first visibility to emerging artists and match with the quality of the works that are being displayed in them. After the opening of the first gallery venue in Le Marais in 2022, they focused on midcareer artists with a steady desire to formulate a discourse both scenographic and legible at the artists’ service. Romero Paprocki continues its mission to host compelling exhibitions for its diverse cast of rising artists, while fostering creativity and keep inspiring the Parisian community, and beyond, thanks to international art fairs.

Born in Ypres in 1980, Nathalie Vanheule finished successfull two masters in art at LUCA School of Arts and at the KASK in Ghent. Her practice explores the fragile territory between intimacy and separation, where the human body becomes both a site of connection and a boundary that cannot be fully transcended. Life and death, beauty and decay, attraction and resistance are continuously intertwined. Femininity, transience, and a play with concealment and revelation are central to her work. Vanheule creates immersive environments where body, material, and space merge into a sensorial field. Using ephemeral and unconventional materials—ash, water, translucent fabrics, make-up, and sandpaper—Vanheule explores transformation. Ash recurs as both residue and potential, embodying destruction and renewal. Her work resonates with avant-garde practices; in her performances and artworks she evokes the tension between the desire for fusion and the inevitability of individuality. In this unresolved space, Vanheule creates a language that is at once seductive and unsettling, intimate and distant, poetic and existentially charged. Her work is part of many important art collections such as the SMAK Museum Collection, Museum D’Hondt- Dhaenens Collection, Osan Museum of Art, South-Korea, Vanhaerents Art Collection, Dejagere Aerts Collection, Abby Museum Kortrijk, The artist previously showed her work, among other things, in the Venice Architecture Biennale (IT), press days Documenta Kassel (DE), Museum Villa Manin Codroipo (IT), Muhka Antwerpen (BE), Am FLütgraben Berlin (DE), Museum Palazzo Ducale Genova (IT), Texture Museum Kortrijk (BE), Museum Castello di Duino (IT), Museum Sala Xenia Trieste (IT), Museum Villa Borghese Rome (IT), Pulse SHOW New York City (US), SMAK Ghent (BE), STUK Leuven (BE), and MSK Ghent (BE).

Born in 1994, graduated from La Cambre in 2018, Robin Wen lives and works in Brussels. Using his personal archives or objects from his daily life, Robin Wen deals with the fragility and violence of this environment with strength and sensitivity. His paintings have become “anthropological objects” and bear witness to a universe that oscillates between the fantastic and the realistic. Robin Wen’s artistic practice is founded on technical rigor and mastery of drawing. Using mainly ballpoint pen and occasionally paint, Robin Wen builds up her images with meticulous precision, accumulating layers of extremely precise strokes. This method demands time, patience and great concentration, giving each of Robin Wen’s works a remarkable visual density. The choice of the ballpoint pen, a tool often associated with sketching or everyday writing, allows Robin Wen to divert an ordinary medium to produce compositions of great complexity. Robin Wen’s work is also distinguished by its hyper-realistic rendering: textures, lights and expressions are rendered with almost photographic precision. His works are held in numerous private collections across Europe and have recently been exhibited at international art fairs such as Art Genève and Luxembourg Art Week, Art On Paper, Art Antwerp, Art Rotterdam, Art Brussels et Drawing Now.

Since 2021, the Belgian Gallery in Brussels has focused mainly on emerging and internationally renowned contemporary artists active on the Belgian art scene. The gallery represents the following artists: Priscilla Beccari, Jacques Charlier, Céline Cuvelier, Camille Dufour, Rémy Hans, Manu vb Tintoré, Yves Velter, Robin Wen, Cindy Wright, among others. With six or seven solo, duo or group exhibitions a year, the Belgian Gallery showcases artists with varied and complementary creative horizons. After 17 years of promoting Belgian art through various fairs and exhibitions, the gallery is now focusing mainly on contemporary Belgian artists or artists living in Belgium.
